40th Day of July 2019

yes, there is a 40th day in our July.
one more kick at the can for summer we reckon and on the Sunday of Labour Day weekend

we figure that before families get back to school and fall schedules that our fantastic summer festival feel should be brought to the forefront one more time

Sunday September 1st from 4pm - 9pm
again, we take over the city square to present a varied array of music, ‘free’ to the public

headlining at 8pm: Salsahall Collective – ending the day with a 9 piece dance from Vancouver
proving we do live in ‘a rather fun place to be’.

special guests at 7pm: Don’t Freak Out from Nanaimo

proving we do live in ‘a rather fun place to be’

Shuffle Demons

what do you get when you cross 3 amazing saxophonists dressed in wacky clothes, a crazy dancing drummer and a killer upright bass player and have them sing songs about Buses, Roaches and Hockey and spend 1/2 their time playing in the audience? The Shuffle Demons, that's what!!! They were a band that captured the imagination of a generation with their antics and amazing no holds barred playing and stopped traffic on a regular basis.

And now they're back!!

Ridley Bent

a ‘countrified’ singer / songwriter he spins tales as tall as they come, and the characters are as large as life or larger, a cast of hard-drinking, fast-driving characters who tend to be a shade less hell-bent on self-destruction than they are with keeping their lives between the lines and out of the ditch.

and the musicianship he surrounds himself with will make this a very memorable performance
