Various community members / organizations give a history of their beginnings, show off what it is they have done, are doing and are looking forward to accomplishing in the future. This is where potential volunteers can be identified, where public recognition can be given to those many volunteers so deserved as well as making sure valuable information is being extended to the community.

July 4 The Station - the Cowichan Green Community has been effective in making good changes in our community - 5 years celebration of ownership of the Station
July 11 Cowichan Folk Guild - creators of the Islands Folk Festival, yes, there is history to be told
July 18 Della Rice Sylvester - First Nations view of local medicinal plants and their harvests/uses
July 25 Community Spaces - Barry O’Riodran - the downtown farm market manager / also manages the HUB at Cowichan Station
August 1 Duncan Wildcats - Operation Track Shoes - our local chapter in operation for over 40 years in the valley, inclusion is such a wonderful thing
All of these scheduled musical events are designed to bring community together to celebrate our diverse local / Canadian and international music scenes, to give the opportunity to meet our neighbours, share a common experience and hopefully be able to now greet each other with a friendly smile on any future happen chance connections. We are proving that downtown Duncan and the Cowichan Valley is... ‘a rather fun place to be’.
