VITALS Stage in the Park

  • 130 Canada Avenue Duncan, BC V9L 1T6 Canada (map)

Mon. July 13th

Noon Jarid Soulfire  -a valley singer / songwriter who has found his own niche, almost folk noire and when choosing a cover song, he owns it

1pm    Naomi Payan – originally from France she has called the valley home for quite awhile now-excellent singer and a songwriter

2pm    Local Lovers – a local duo that pull off a roots/pop/rock feel with their originals that stay with you- very impressed with the writing and the delivery

3pm   Warmland Dance – the performances they bring to the 39 Days is a work of art

4pm   Birdbelly  - from farming in Alberta, she still finds the time to write and sing some very fine tunage worth listening to- accompanied with stand up bass player – Canadiana folk roots country we made sure we gave another slot tomorrow at noon before she heads off

5pm   Joe Stanton - from the Sunshine Coast we convinced this fine singer/songwriter to venture over to the valley with his guitar and well written originals – very good storyteller

6pm   Oceanique – these two gals are from Australia on a Canadian tour, we were so impressed at the Folk Alliance Conference in Montreal last year to say yes, you get here and we will give you stage time

7pm   Elise Boulanger - a sweet darkness wrapped in orchestral instrumentation. Hailing from Vancouver, this Orchestral Indie-Pop artist completely captivates audiences with her haunting avalanche of a voice. Boulanger is a bilingual environmental advocate that creates cinematic dreamscapes. She is reminiscent of Kate Bush with her angelic yet raw dramatic artistry.
