40Th Day of July

40th Day of July  2025

Duncan City Square Stage

Sunday August 31st

3pm -10pm

After having gone from a 16 day to a 31 day festival then to the 39 Days of July way back in 2013, we are asked each year if we are going to make it a longer festival.

Well about 10 years ago we figured we could add a 40th day but not until the Sunday of Labour Day weekend in September, you know, one more chance to have a kick at the can of endless summer concerts.

Usually we pick some of the favourite performers from the 39 Days of July and a special guest to end it all off

And we hold it in City Square to make it easier on all the crew

3pm         Michelle Frets Trio – local picker who has learned about that trio back-up feel and we decided she should have this pleasure

3:30pm   Drea Lake –singer/songwriter from Ontario on a VIA Rail Play Tour Way Plan

4pm        Steve Cutler – local guy picks great covers and writes some good ones as well

4:30pm   Leo and Lindsey Martel - young lad (12 years old) and his dad rock it out, both are excellent musicians

5pm         Last Chance – 16 and producing their own backtracks for their original tunes is having awesome results, very impressive delivery

5:30pm    Leenie Beenie – she writes songs and delivers with passion, versatile and usually a guest or two

6pm         Malakai - another local 16 year old festival veteran also with a new LP release that needs be heard

6:30pm    Barry’s Fault  - 4 piece original folk / indie pop that caught our ear

7:30pm      TBA

8:30pm    Funky Lowdown – always great players with this long time favourite of our city square’s musical series - lowdown and funky it is
