Duncan Has Talent 2018

Wednesday / Thursday / Friday - 5pm
Location: Charles Hoey Memorial Park - MNP Stage

(unless otherwise specified)

Our working template came from the idea that there is so much young hidden talent in our community that sure could use some encouragement to continue. The Duncan Has Talent ‘competition’ comes with that mentorship proponent.  After each song a panel of mentors/judges  give kudos where deserved and advice as to where to improve. It is that acceptance of the mentorship that dictates who moves on in the attempt to win the prize money.

There is only room for 9 contestants in each category so make sure if you want in that you make contact with the festival asap...but do check in right up to event time in case of cancellations.

All of these scheduled musical events are designed to bring community together to celebrate our diverse local / Canadian and international music scenes, to give the opportunity to meet our neighbours, share a common experience and hopefully be able to now greet each other with a friendly smile on any future happen chance connections. We are proving that downtown Duncan and the Cowichan Valley is... ‘a rather fun place to be’.
