FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When do the public washrooms on event days close?

We have arranged to make sure the public washroom facilities on Canada Ave remain unlocked till 10pm daily.

Will there be food vendors in the park? The City Square?

This year, on all 26 days of City Square events, we have Depot Dawgs with his varied Pakistani menus as well as hot dogs / fries and Natasha's Popsicles aka Popsicles Flor y Canto, organic juice popsicles committed to attending every event. As for the park, we encourage everyone to either pack a meal or buy something from any of the downtown eateries and munch down in the park while listening to some fine live music.

Does the money collected during the shows go to that performer that I donated to during their performance?

All monies collected in the donation boxes go into the general budget and is used to pay the performers their agreed upon fee. We have a lot of performers to pay, although we do receive some grant monies it never covers all of our budgeted costs and so we rely on the general public to aid us thru with their generous donations

I don’t carry cash, is there a digital way to transfer monies to the festival?

We will have our QR code on the side of the donation boxes that will take you directly to the e transfer info on our website www.39daysofjuly.ca

How did /do you ever get so many different performers to come to Duncan?

The Duncan Showroom is to celebrate 20 years open and thru our many concerts we find new and exciting local and island musicians to bring to the stage, we also have been networking in the Canadian and international music scenes over the years and our reputation appears to be respected. We have opportunities for musical artists to perform between weekend festivals and so we get some very fine artists passing thru the area not to mention that the word is out that our little very long festival is ‘ a rather fun place to be.’
