Message from the Panago Grande Parade Coordinator...
I am looking forward to another great year of summer fun in Duncan as I enter into my 3rd year of organizing the Duncan Cowichan Festival Society’s Grande Parade. This year the parade will be on Saturday July 14th beginning at the usual 11am. We look forward to seeing everyone out there again this year either watching the parade or being in it. Make sure you are doing either one of these because you won’t want to miss all of the excitement.
A few new and exciting things this year for the parade. First, we have a theme: “Show Your Colors” and so on this morning the streets of Duncan will be filled with color. Our choice of theme is also in support of the 2018 BC Summer games which are coming to our town a week after the parade.
There will also be a bit of a route change this year, instead of going down Kenneth Street we will be turning down Ingram and going straight over the tracks instead. Farmers Market extension will move to Kenneth Street for this Saturday only along with businesses already set up there.
Another change this year is that you will notice the local Duncan Panago joined our team with the sponsoring of the parade and so the parade will now be called the Panago Grande Parade.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the parade again this year. If you are a spectator or a participant let’s “Show Your Colors”.
